How much could Apple's next Pro iPhone cost in the UK?

With the iPhone 18 Pro getting closer, we're starting to get a clearer idea of what Apple could charge — and unfortunately, there are signs that this year's Pro models could be more expensive.

    Quick answer

Apple hasn't confirmed UK pricing yet, but based on current prices and industry forecasts, we think the iPhone 18 Pro could start somewhere around £1,199–£1,299, with the iPhone 18 Pro Max potentially around £1,299–£1,399.

Apple Hasn't Confirmed the Price Yet

Before we get too carried away with numbers, there's one important thing to remember.

Apple has not officially announced the UK price of the iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Until Apple unveils the new phones, any prices you see online should be treated as estimates, predictions or rumours rather than confirmed figures.

If you're more interested in when the new phones could arrive, we've also put together a separate guide covering when the iPhone 18 is expected to come out .

What Does the iPhone 17 Pro Cost?

The best place to start is with Apple's current Pro models.

    iPhone 17 Pro £1,099 256GB starting storage
iPhone 17 Pro Max £1,199 256GB starting storage

Those figures give us a useful starting point when trying to work out where Apple could position the next generation.

📱 How much storage do you actually need?

Before paying extra for 512GB or 1TB, try our free Phone Storage Calculator . It estimates how much storage you may need based on your photos, videos, apps, games and downloads.

Could the iPhone 18 Pro Be More Expensive?

At the moment, the signs are pointing towards yes.

Industry research suggests Apple is facing higher component costs, particularly when it comes to memory.

TrendForce has estimated that the bill-of-materials cost for a 256GB iPhone 18 Pro could be significantly higher than the previous generation.

That doesn't mean Apple will simply pass the whole increase on to customers. Manufacturing cost is only one part of the final retail price.

Apple could absorb some of the additional cost itself, but current industry forecasts still suggest higher retail prices are likely.

    💡 Rumour check

A higher price is looking increasingly possible, but Apple hasn't confirmed anything yet. Until the official announcement, all iPhone 18 pricing should be treated as speculation.

Our iPhone 18 Pro UK Price Prediction

Taking Apple's current UK prices and the latest industry reports into account, here's where we think the new models could land.

    Model Current Price Our Prediction
    iPhone 18 Pro £1,099* £1,199–£1,299
    iPhone 18 Pro Max £1,199* £1,299–£1,399

*Current-generation iPhone 17 Pro pricing shown for comparison.

These are The Tech Blog's own estimates, not leaked or confirmed Apple prices.

It's also worth remembering that UK pricing isn't simply calculated by converting a US dollar price into pounds.

UK retail prices include VAT, and Apple sets regional prices separately.

Will the iPhone 18 Pro Still Start With 256GB?

Current reports suggest the iPhone 18 Pro will continue to start with 256GB of storage.

    • iPhone 16 Pro: 128GB starting storage
    • iPhone 17 Pro: 256GB starting storage
    • iPhone 18 Pro: 256GB currently expected

If that proves correct, Apple may increase the price without increasing the minimum storage capacity again.

The Tech Blog Tip: Check Settings → General → iPhone Storage on your current iPhone before choosing your next storage size. You can then compare that with our Phone Storage Calculator .

What Could Be New on the iPhone 18 Pro?

Pricing isn't the only thing being talked about.

The new Pro models are rumoured to include a number of hardware changes, although none should be considered confirmed until Apple announces them.

    • A next-generation A20 Pro processor
    • A smaller Dynamic Island
    • Improved battery life
    • A variable-aperture main camera
    • Apple's next-generation modem technology

What About the Standard iPhone 18?

This year's iPhone launch could be quite different from what we've become used to.

Current reports suggest Apple could split the iPhone 18 family across two launch periods.

The iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are expected first, while the standard iPhone 18 may not arrive until a later release window.

That would be a significant change from Apple's traditional launch strategy, where the standard and Pro models normally arrive at around the same time.

Buying the iPhone 18 Pro on a Monthly Plan?

A phone costing more than £1,000 is a serious purchase, but many UK customers won't pay the full amount upfront.

Instead, the cost may be spread across a finance agreement or mobile phone contract.

When comparing deals, try not to focus only on the monthly payment. Look at the total amount you'll repay, any upfront cost and the mobile allowance included.

📊 Are you paying for more data than you need?

Try our free Mobile Data Calculator to get a rough idea of how much data may suit you.

It's also worth checking your current mobile phone operator's app or recent bills to see how much data you actually use each month.

    Thinking About Changing Mobile Network?

A new phone can be a good opportunity to look at your mobile service too.

    Taking Your New iPhone Abroad?

    Don't forget about roaming.

Charges and allowances can vary significantly between mobile phone operators and tariffs.

Should You Wait for the iPhone 18 Pro?

If you're currently considering spending more than £1,000 on an iPhone 17 Pro, we'd be tempted to see what Apple announces before making the purchase.

We're close enough to the expected launch that waiting could give you a much clearer choice.

Even if the iPhone 18 Pro turns out to be too expensive, its arrival may create opportunities to find an older model for less elsewhere.

So, How Much Could the iPhone 18 Pro Cost?

Apple hasn't confirmed the answer yet.

For now, our best estimate is around £1,199–£1,299 for the iPhone 18 Pro and £1,299–£1,399 for the iPhone 18 Pro Max.

We'll update this article once Apple confirms the official UK pricing.
