According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is gearing up to unveil fresh Mac models at the very end of this month, specifically on the 30th or 31st. The anticipated announcements are expected to encompass updates to the 24-inch iMac and, possibly, the introduction of multiple new MacBook Pro models.

Furthermore, Gurman suggests that Apple is also in the pipeline to launch a higher-end iMac boasting a 32-inch display, but this release isn’t slated until late 2024 or 2025.

The 24-inch iMac made its debut in the spring of 2021, showcasing a revamped design and the powerful M1 chip. While it’s evident that an update is due, it remains uncertain whether Apple is prepared to introduce the M3 generation or if the new iMac will opt for M2 chips, which, even if it’s the case, would still represent an upgrade for the iMac lineup as they have thus far skipped the M2.

The prospect of updates to the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, so soon after the preceding M2 generation was unveiled in January, is somewhat unusual but not entirely unprecedented.

Crucially, these new Mac models are set to arrive in time for the holiday season, with their announcement conveniently preceding Apple’s quarterly earnings results on November 2nd.

It’s worth noting that these new Macs constitute the second product launch event for the company in October, following the prior announcement of a new USB-C version of the Apple Pencil, scheduled to ship in early November.
